Overview
Concrete Work in Charleston, SC
Concrete is the foundation of driveways, walkways, patios, steps, and retaining walls. When it is done right, it lasts for decades with minimal maintenance. When it is done wrong, cracks form, surfaces settle unevenly, and water pools in all the wrong places. Allforce Services provides residential concrete work across the greater Charleston area. We pour new slabs, repair existing concrete, level uneven surfaces, and finish with the look and texture you want. From replacing a cracked driveway section to building a complete walkway from scratch, we handle the full process including excavation, grading, forming, pouring, finishing, and curing.

Our Process
How We Work
Site Evaluation
We assess the area, check drainage patterns and soil conditions, take measurements, and provide a detailed plan and estimate for the project.
Excavation & Grading
We excavate to the proper depth, grade the base for drainage, and compact a gravel sub-base to create a stable foundation for the concrete.
Forming & Pouring
We build wooden forms to define the shape and edges, reinforce with rebar or wire mesh where needed, and pour the concrete to the right thickness and slope.
Finishing & Curing
We float, trowel, and finish the surface with your chosen texture. Control joints are cut to manage cracking, and the concrete is allowed to cure properly before use.
Why Allforce
Why Choose Allforce Services for Concrete Work?
Charleston sits on sandy, low-lying soil that creates real challenges for concrete work. Poor drainage and soft soil mean that concrete poured without proper base preparation will settle, crack, and shift. We grade for drainage, compact a solid sub-base, pour to the right thickness, and cut control joints at the right intervals. Our concrete work holds up because we account for the conditions specific to the Lowcountry. We also handle the full scope from demolition of old concrete to grading, pouring, and finishing, so you do not need to coordinate multiple contractors.
Proper Drainage
Every slab is graded and sloped to direct water away from your home and prevent pooling.
Built for Lowcountry Soil
Compacted gravel sub-base and proper thickness to prevent settling and cracking in Charleston sandy soil.
Full Scope
From demolition of old concrete to grading, forming, pouring, and finishing, we handle it all.

Common Questions
Concrete Work FAQ
How long does new concrete take to cure?
Concrete reaches initial set in 24 to 48 hours and can typically handle foot traffic in three to five days. Full cure takes approximately 28 days. We advise keeping vehicles off new driveways for at least seven days. We will give you specific timelines based on the weather conditions at the time of your pour.
Can cracked concrete be repaired or does it need to be replaced?
It depends on the extent of the damage. Small surface cracks and spalls can often be repaired. If the concrete has heaved, settled significantly, or is extensively cracked, replacement is usually the better long-term investment. We will assess the damage and give you an honest recommendation.
Why does concrete crack in Charleston?
The most common causes are soil movement from moisture changes, tree root pressure, inadequate base preparation, and missing or improperly spaced control joints. Charleston sandy soil and high water table make proper sub-base preparation especially important. We address all of these factors in every pour.
