Concrete Walkway Renovation

From drainage hazard to modern curb appeal

New homeowners discovered their concrete walkway was sloped toward the house, risking water damage. Allforce Services demolished the old path and built modern stepping stone pads with gravel drainage borders, solving the drainage issue and transforming curb appeal.

The Challenge

What We Were Working With

When the new homeowners purchased this West Ashley property, they quickly noticed a serious issue: the existing concrete walkway along the front of the house was sloped toward the foundation. Every rain directed water straight against the base of the home, creating a real risk of water damage, moisture intrusion, and long-term structural problems. On top of that, the old narrow concrete path looked dated and did nothing for the home's curb appeal.

The Process

How We Got It Done

Allforce Services started by demolishing and removing the old concrete walkway entirely. The crew then excavated the area and re-graded the ground to ensure proper drainage away from the foundation. Using wooden forms, they poured individual rectangular concrete stepping stone pads in a clean, modern pattern. After the concrete cured, the forms were removed and the gaps between each pad were filled with gravel, creating natural drainage channels that direct water safely away from the house.

The Results

The Finished Product

The finished walkway is a complete transformation. Clean, modern stepping stones with gravel borders now lead to the front door, giving the home a welcoming, updated entrance. More importantly, the drainage problem is solved. Water flows between the pads and away from the foundation instead of pooling against it. The homeowners got both the look and the protection they needed.
