Kitchen Remodel

From dated oak to a bright, modern kitchen

Homeowners wanted to modernize their outdated kitchen. Bulky overhead cabinets blocked the space, old oak finishes felt dated, and the countertops needed an upgrade. Allforce Services removed the cabinet overhang, repainted all cabinetry crisp white, installed granite countertops, added a subway tile backsplash, and hung modern pendant lights over the peninsula for a complete transformation.

The Challenge

What We Were Working With

The kitchen felt closed off and outdated. A large cabinet structure hung over the peninsula counter, blocking sightlines and making the space feel cramped. The original honey oak cabinets and plain laminate countertops gave the kitchen an old, tired look. The homeowners had just moved in and wanted a bright, modern kitchen where they could sit at the counter, enjoy meals, and entertain, but the existing layout and finishes weren't working.

The Process

How We Got It Done

Allforce Services started by removing the bulky overhead cabinet structure above the peninsula, opening up the space and the ceiling. With the overhang gone, the team ran new electrical wiring through the exposed ceiling joists to support modern pendant lights and recessed lighting. The ceiling was patched, mudded, and finished smooth. New granite countertops in a light gray and white pattern were installed across the L-shaped counter and peninsula. A classic white subway tile backsplash was laid behind the sink area. All existing cabinets were carefully prepped and repainted crisp white, and a brushed gold faucet was installed as an accent piece. Finally, open-cage globe pendant lights were hung over the peninsula to complete the modern look.

The Results

The Finished Product

The finished kitchen is a complete transformation. Bright white cabinetry with crown molding, elegant granite countertops, and a clean subway tile backsplash create a fresh, timeless look. The peninsula now serves as an open breakfast bar with stylish pendant lights overhead, exactly what the homeowners envisioned. The brushed gold faucet adds a warm accent against the neutral palette, and the integrated appliances sit neatly within the cabinetry. Every detail, from the recessed lighting to the crown molding, reflects quality craftsmanship.
